Description

AMI1 is an enzyme with similarity to bacterial acylamidohydrolases and exhibits indole-3-acetamide amidohydrolase activity in vitro. This enzyme may be involved in the in vivo biosynthesis of indole-acetic acid from indole-3-acetamide, a native metabolite of A. thaliana.
